It’s time to catch our breath after a fantastic start to September, and last week was definitely busy with events both at the brewery and around the state.
Medford Oktoberfest Recap
The 2017 Medford Oktoberfest was held at a new location this year, Freedom Park across from the Township Public Safety Building. This event, hosted annually by the Medford Business Association, features a beer garden and now multiple music stages for local and regional bands.
Unlike past beer garden events, Taunton Forge Liquors – this year’s sponsor, opened the garden to the local New Jersey beer brands they carry alongside larger national brands with special tables and features for our own Lower Forge Brewery beers alongside good friends from Devil’s Creek Brewery in nearby Collingswood.
Thousands flocked to the garden, with a considerable amount of local New Jersey beer poured to rival even the biggest beer brands – showing how much our community supports and enjoys beer brewed in their own backyard.
Our own Oktoberfest After Party was an amazing success, with live music from the South Jersey Pops Oktoberfest Band; our new fall release, Cinn & Redemption; and great food that people were bringing in from nearby favorites, The Pop Shop and ITA 101.

Notes from the Brewers
A great article from Only in Your State was forwarded to us this week: This Charming Town Near Philadelphia Is Picture Perfect For An Autumn Day Trip. They recommend the perfect fall afternoon or evening with hayrides and apple picking at Johnson’s Corner Farm, followed by lunch at the Pop Shop. Specific mentions of their fantastic Grilled Cheeses and Iced Cream Sundaes. Later in your day, a romantic dinner at ITA 101 is perfect followed by wrapping up your evening at Lower Forge for our craft beer and “warm, inviting atmosphere”.
Thanks, Only in Your State!
