We like to joke that we brew the beer that we want to drink, not confined by sticking to a certain style family or limited our imaginations on what’s possible with our craft beer. As we’ve updated our presence online, we’re actively working to not only provide details on each of beers but where possible – help inspire your own creativity with tips for homebrewers and beer fans including pairings, recipes, and other ideas to enjoy beers from Lower Forge.
Here are our family of beers, starting with some of the latest additions – powered by our partnership with Untappd.
The Radler has a rich tradition near Munich after, as legend goes, a tavern owner mixed Sparkling Grapefruit Juice and a Pilsner as a refreshing treat after a bicycle race in 1926. Traditionally a 60/40 or higher beer-to-fruit ratio compared to American Shandies, our Radler is a homage to the legend and the style that is still wildly popular in the warmer German summer months.
Our signature IPA, “Mischief & Mayhem”, drawn through a mix of fruit including Grapefruits, Oranges, and a pinch of Strawberries for that subtle hint of sweet after the the citrus and hoppy flavors.
What happens when you take our Major’s Irish Stout and mix it with Thin Mint Cookies. Good stuff, that’s what.
A complex European Malt backbone with classic Centennial hops combine together in a seasonal winter release designed to help weather these cold evenings.
We had an experimental batch of beer with deep, rich malt tones that was begging to be run as a sampling room experiment, made with the flavors of my favorite french toast including chocolate, caramel, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Our Gingerbread Cookie Brown Ale, a perfect way to celebrate the holidays and welcome the new year with notes of Ginger, Brown Sugar and Cinnamon on a mix of aromatic malts and Hallertau Blanc hops.
A sampling room experiment at Lower Forge, a festbier style spiced with mulling spices, citrus and a pinch of holiday magic.
A special on-premise brewing experiment to celebrate Emiline’s bridal shower and her upcoming wedding to Evan. Our festbier drawn over fresh cranberries and blood oranges inside our Sampling Room Randall.
